Bar Habor, Maine Wedding :: Amanda & Shawn

Amanda and Shawn’s wedding was the first time I had ever been to Bar Harbor, Maine – Crazy, I know!!  It is such a gorgeous area and not super far which makes it a perfect destination wedding location.  Marc, baby Cian and I headed up on the Friday before their wedding.  We were able to make a little weekend out of it – always a great bonus of my job. 🙂

On the morning of Amanda and Shawn’s wedding Jordana and I started at the Willows B&B for getting ready photos.  This bed and breakfast is a lovely 1930’s mansion full of lovely antiques which was great for shooting bridal details.  🙂  Once Amanda and Shawn were ready we were off to Acadia National Park for their “first look”.  I have to mention that Shawn’s reaction to Amanda was the best “first look” I have shot to date!  It was very sweet!! 🙂  After their “first look” we had almost two hours in Acadia for bride and groom portraits – I was very spoiled.

We returned to the Atlantic Oceanside Hotel in time for touch ups and their ceremony.  Amanda and Shawn’s ceremony was heartfelt and sweet.  The couple wrote their own vows and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the audience when Shawn read his!  After the ceremony everyone was invited back to the venues event center for dinner, cocktails and dancing.
