About Julie

I'm a light and airy Wedding & Boudoir photographer based in southern New Hampshire. Since 2008 I have been documenting couples in love all over New England and even Jamaica. I live in Epping, New Hampshire with my husband Marc and our two adorable boys, Cian & Cormac.

When I'm not shooting weddings I can be found enjoying time with my little family. I enjoy gardening, cooking, sipping bourbon based cocktails and nightly dance parties with my boys.

how it all started

From a very early age I knew I wanted a career in the arts., I just wasn't sure what medium to pursue. During high school I was the quintessential art kid. I dabbled in painting, theater, and music.. In college I decided to major in photography after loving my photography class in high school. After graduating from Salem State in 2005, I worked for various companies as an administrative assistant while I established Julie Surette Photography. I started second shooting for other established photographers and shot a lot for free to build my portfolio. In 2008, I decided to rent a booth at a local bridal show. From that bridal show I booked 4 weddings and my business just took off from there!

Boudoir

Julie is incredible to work with! We booked her for the works: engagement shoot which was complimentary, our wedding days (minimony + postponed big wedding), and a boudoir shoot. All of the photos turned out so amazing from each session and we have received so many compliments on them.
Julie has been so flexible with us, from adding on an hour for our engagement shoot last minute to sticking with us after postponing our big wedding because of COVID-19. She was so helpful with helping us pose, finding great lighting and flattering angles. During my boudoir shoot, Julie made me feel so confident and comfortable and I would 10/10 recommend doing a boudoir shoot with her!
Overall, we are so glad that we found her during our wedding research and definitely found the best photographer in the industry.
